Brahma 2022

Brahma! A very light maceration (1-2 days) of predominantly Chenin Blanc (90%) with a touch of Sauvignon Blanc (10%). Pressed into qvevri where it rests for over a year before bottling. This is about as delicate and fragrant an example of mostly Chenin that you can get. White flowers, lychees, and a touch of grassy aromas. Brahma as a relatively new cuvée for Pat but one where he’s established a clear style. Richness with a generous presentation. Unctuous fruit, broad texture, and a slight touch of residual sugars. Pears, apples, and a honeyed quality to the fruit. Fluid and viscous. The wine has length, and the telltale herbaceous quality of Pat’s wine is drawn out on the palate. A hyper-singular Chenin dominant wine with pristine clarity.
