BRUTAL Babass 2023

Les vignes de Babass - Sébastien Dervieux & Agnès Mallet

Beaulieu-sur-Layon, Loire, France

Brutal Babass is back. A cuvée only made in irregular or difficult years when conditions and yields are such that blending parcels is necessary. A blend of all fruit from both the "Navine" (80%), and "Joseph Anne Françoise" (20%) parcels. 100 percent Chenin Blanc, prickly and lively on its feet. Babass and Agnès' signature high-tone minerality shows up and packs a punch. Lime and citrus notes with a bright floral lift. Tense with acid and texture in balance.
