Fleur tropicale 2022

100% old-vine Chardonnay from the South of Jura. A maceration of 70% whole-cluster fruit in 30% direct pressed juice. 2.5 months macerating before pressing into fiber tanks for 7 months before bottling. A vividly tropical and textured expression of Chardonnay. The first time back in production since 2018, this is Antoine and Julia’s macerated ode to their other home (Brazil) and a tropical expression of Jura we don’t see much of. Pineapple, and underripe mangoes. A wine with a bright piquancy, that’s extremely lifted with its expression soaring out of the glass. Chalky mineral texture with fuzzy tannins, and a long, salty, bitter finish.
