Gewurztraminer 100% pressed directly, and aged in old 25hl foudres. From 57 year-old vines just outside of the Grand Cru Steinert vineyard. Soils here are limestone with a mix of clays (pink and gray). Wines from this site can often rival Grand Cru expressions being planted on the same soils. Jean-François is in his element vinifying Gewurztraminer and offering exceptional examples of this grape fermented dry. Intensely fresh nose of white grape juice, with the presence of captivating florals. Vibrant with an intense mineral bite.
