Les Paltieres 2021 Litre

Produced since their first vintage in 2017, and a true gem of a Gamay. From their own vines in Saint-Germain-Nuelles, planted one half in 1927 and one half in 1970.The vines root deeply on clay and limestone soils. Whole cluster maceration for two weeks and aging in 30hl old barrels. The old vines are always evident on this cuvée with a dusty earthyness coming through. High acid, with lifted, flourecscent toned fruit. Taut with delicate tannis and sleek texture. A signature rockiness is seen across their wines yet this cuvée aways seems to show that the clearest.
