100% Syrah from 30-60 year old vines on clay-limestone soils near Estagel. Semi-carbonic maceration as with all of Saskia’s reds, fermenting in fiberglass then aging in old barriques. A blast right out of the gate. Inky dark fruits with sharp hightoned minerality. This Syrah is both wild and streamlined. A deep and dense quality to the fruit with beautiful white floral character. Black pepper spiciness on the palate, chalky tannins, and punchy acidity cleaning everything up.
