M&M Blanc 2022

The Blanc/ macerated counterpart to M&M Rouge. Nearly as prolific, with an equally vibrant personality. A 50/50 blend of Muscat and Mauzac, from vineyards on a sandy-limestone outcropping near Limoux. As with M&M Rouge it’s a blend of different macerations assembled in the cellar. Mostly whole-cluster, lasting on average around 2 weeks, and aged for over a year in sandstone amphora. The final wine expressing the tension between the hyper-floral Muscat, and the mineral rich Mauzac. White flowers and tangerine, the nose is brilliant and immediately captivating. In the mouth the additional maceration time for the Mauzac gives a good cut of tannins with a persistent salinity. A great balance of the two grapes as the Muscat is never overbearing. Bright citrus acidity, with some tropical fruits, herbs, and a vibrant and lasting mineral quality.
