The cult-like cuvée from Es D’aqui that needs very little introduction. Muscat and Mourvèdre, with this year, a 30% addition of Pinot Noir. A mix of various macerations and direct pressings assembled in the cellar to hit the heady, floral, and coastal profile we’ve come to know. All grapes from clay-limestone vineyards around the Limoux area, with aging for a short time in a large fiberglass cuve. As always its a home run, hitting that sweet spot between intoxicating charm and true buvabilité. The floral side of the Muscat lends itself to the fruitiness of the reds, combining to bring out salty and plummy qualities. Candided red fruits, a touch of herbs, and plenty of salinity in the mouth, makes it incredibly satiating.
