95% Pinot Noir and 5% Chardonnay. Estate grown fruit from the Sonoma Valley AVA.The fruit here is sourced from the O’Connor vineyard, which was planted in 2011 by Sonoma Mountain Winery. It's just over one acre on Sonoma Mountain and has a couple of rows of Chardonnay as well and has never seen chemicals. Picked together with the Chardonnay, destemmed, and co-fermented in open-top fermenters. Lighter manual punchdowns until dry and pressed off to puncheon and neutral Burgundy barrels. The nose is candied bing cherries, dusty raspberry, with damp earth, and a mushroom note. On the palette, there is structure and tension between gentle tannins and fresh acidity.
