Sein pour Sein 2018

Named after the area in which it grows, Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule in Auvergne, this wine is 100% Pinot Noir. Patrick does semi-carbonic maceration and once again uses both barrique and fiberglass for the èlèvage. This wine captivates you immediately and then brings you on a journey. Rosebush, nectarine, and plum, accompanied by black truffle. Everything is lifted yet understated, with brightness from the acidity, and a gentle grip from the tannins. There’s a volcanic-mineral sense to this wine that can’t be ignored.
