Tir à Blanc 2022 MAGNUM

A blend of whites from Alain’s oldest vines over 100 years on clay soils with very low yields. Macabeu, Grenache Gris, Muscat d’Alexandrie, and Muscat à Petits Grains. A meticulous manual harvest with direct pressing of all the grapes. Aging in stainless steel tank. A wine of big expression with honesty and sincerity. Once again a wine that transports you to the Mediterranean coast, where we see the scents of herbs, flowers, and garrigue. With this vintage, only a touch of residual sugar is present, which is welcomed alongside prickly acidity and plenty of salty minerality. Pear and apple skins, with ripe orchard fruit on the palate. As a whole it communicates precisely its aim, transparency of fruit and place, and the passion of its creator. Tir à Blanc, is a special wine for us, and with this tough vintage we strongly recommend stashing this wine away, as the individual parts feel like they need time to come together in a cohesive way.
