A returning favourite. 100% old vine Grenache on schist soils from Cabrerolles in Faugères. From a top quality grower, and shared source among natural winemaking friends, the likes of Antony Tortul (La Sorga), Antoine of Les Valseuses, and Patrick Bouju to name a few. 21 days of whole cluster maceration and 10 months of élevage in sandstone amphora. Bright, luminescent purple fruit. The nose jumps out of the glass with dark raspberry, peony, and rose. Fluorescent fruit framed with a mix of salinity, dusty earthyness, and garrigue herbs. Certainly on the lighter side in terms of Grenache, not held down by weight, tannin, or rusticity.
