Vent Y Tourne 2019

From the frost Vintage of 2019. All salvageable red grapes from Pat's vines. Pineau d’Aunis and Gamay are central, with some Cabernet Sauvignon in the mix. Vent Y Tourne is a wine that is open to greet its drinker right away, but envelopes and widens itself as time slowly passes. Depth of morello and black cherry fruit. Tension by way of mouth-watering acidity and toned tannic structure are once again on display on the palate. This time with a welcoming gentle prickle brought on by trapped CO2 which gives the sensation of movement. All the aromatics present here are incredibly well defined and impressive considering it clocks in at 11.5% alcohol.
