Vi de Taula Rusk 2020

Named after the energetic family dog Ruski, this wine is new in 2020. 100% Sumoll on clay and limestone soils. This vintage seems to have brought less concentration to the fruit, and as such Glòria decided to make a “younger” version of her typical red. With 3 months of maceration on skins and one year of aging in old barrels, it sees far less time than usual for her reds. The result, however, is hardly less concentrated in flavor. With similar aromatic potency, the only noticeable difference is a fresher, more fruit-driven quality to the nose. Bright layered red fruit with fragrant lift and a mineral cut on the palate. This wine is everything her reds are with a fresher lift, lower tannins, and less alcohol, leading to much easier drinking.
