Vinello 2020

Inspired by Zoë’s Nonno’s basement wine, Vinello is essentially a piquette in it’s production, but leans closer to a wine in profile, with 9% alcohol and more concentration and body than most piquette. Made with a 50/50 blend of organically grown Syrah and Semillon grapes macerated on water for 5 days. No filtration or added sulphur at any point. Vinello was bottled just before the end of primary fermentation. Fresh and breezy with smoky plum fruit and earth. Very fine mineral water style bubbles and a significant amount of juicy expressive fruit.
